P-pop solo artist Amber Davis will soon launch her album “FILAM” on June 11th in Eastwood City. With a beautiful face like Mandy Moore and a hot body like Halle Berry she will surely capture the eyes of the audience.

Amber has an undeniable talent with a mesmerizing voice and hataw dance moves. She can certainly compete with artists like Britney Spears (pop princess of Hollywood). Will she be the next Britney Spears of the Philippines?

Her debut hit “Manila,” gave her recognition at the 2007 Awit Awards for “Best Performance by a New Female Recording Artist.” Her next hit “Back Into You” was titled “OPM Song Of The Year” in 2007 while she was also named RX 93.1’s “Artist of the Year.” Her most recent single “Taas Noo” featuring Gloc9 was named “Best Original Song” at the 2010 Urban Music Awards, where she was given an award for the duet “Spend My Life with You” with Thor, and named “Best Female R&B Artist.”

Amber is not only a performer but a song writer. She has written carrier singles for new artists under the record label P-pop. She is looking forward to releasing her new album titled “FILAM” under the P-Pop label. “FILAM” consists of 12 catchy original songs inspired by both her Filipino and American musical influences.
Amber is a promising female artist and with her next album “FILAM” she will prove she deserves a title in the music industry as a P-pop artist.

HOII! LEE HYORI is such a BIG NAME! para ikumpara sa baguhan na si Amber.
Kung maaalala mo, simula pa lang nung 1998 ay nasa KPOP world na si Lee Hyori. At marami syang pinag-daanan. Kaya walang pwedeng pumantay kay lee hyori.

  2. GOAMBER says:

Next lee hyori nga eh! nobody said that she compares with lee hyori! NEXT nga! and next britney spears of the Philippines. Go Amber Davis! I’m sure alot of fans will support you because you are a great artist. P-POP artist to r&b artist to composer we will support you! FYI Amber Davis has been in the industy just as long as lee hyori! matanda lang si Lee Hyori!

  3. Anonymous says:

half american ba siya? maganda nga siya! she looks classy.

  4. Gum says:

I think calling her the Lee Hyori of the Philippines is unfair to Amber. She’s sexy but the big difference between her and Hyori is that she(Amber) creates her own music(along with her husband, Marcus Davis) and she also creates music for other pop singers.

Amber isn’t ‘baguhan’. She’s not really big in mainstream but she’s not new to OPM. Prior to the revival trends, she had a single called ‘Manila’. Not the Hotdog song but this:

why do you guys have to compare every ppop artist with a kpop artist? wala namang nakikipagcontest sa kpop eh. if you will keep trying to find something similar or the same with kpop, eh siempre may mahahanap kayo! music yan eh! wala namang may-ari ng music. hay naku! nakakainis na kayong mga kpop fans kung pipilitin niyong maghanap ng makukumpara! just leave ppop alone if you don’t like it. it’ll shine in it’s own way. stop comparing it to your kpop because they are NOT KPop!!!! Ppop nga eh! haaaay

LOL.. Next Lee Hyo Ri?? No no no no..😀

  7. Due to the anger that was received towards this article and so many not realizing that the pop princess of hollywood was also mentioned in the article. The title was changed to “The Next Britney Spears Of The Philippines.” So i guess there is a big difference between Hyori and Britney. Considering the fact that nobody reacted to AMBER being compared to Britney. We also just want to clarify that we are mentioning artists such as britney to show the potential height Amber Davis can reach because of her promising talent.

  8. Cris says:

TO my dear Ppop dom admins, I didn’t mean you guys in the post. I meant the anti ppop fans and some ppop fans too. This whole issue about ppop copying kpop is dragging too long. The fact is, ppop is NOT copying kpop. It’s just that no matter how you look at it, music is one language and no matter what kind of music you make, there will be similarities and there will be points for comparison if you look for it. I am so happy of the way PPop Dom is bringing PPop to the people. You have been fair and you have been very supporting. It is the fans, be it anti or pro, that likes to compare and this should stop! They should just take Ppop for what it is, music by pinoys. It is an expression of the artists and their music. It is not a copy. I just really wish they’d give Ppop a chance and if they really can’t stand it, to just leave it alone! Love you Admins. Sorry for the misunderstanding! It wasn’t meant for your article but for the previous posts. Mwah all.

  9. seohyunie says:

to be honest, i liked comparing her to lee hyori more😛
it would be a better comparison if she were whole filipino though haha

  10. Cris says:

she is filipino. she’s just happens to be married to an american.

  11. Cris says:

ay mali. she’s just happens… hehehe…. she just happens to be married to an american pala.

  12. Anonymous says:

    ang cute ni tia cris!:D
    so she’s full filipino po?!

  13. Anonymous says:

ganda ng mga songs nya! sana magperform rin sya ng live. para astig.

  14. Gum says:

Other than the anti’s I think not one are ‘angry’. Just because some of us have different opinion from the author, it doesn’t mean we’re angry.

    @_@

And my comment was actually meant for the first commentator who grudgingly called Amber ‘baguhan’ when in fact she is not.

pati ba naman si lee hyori sinisipsipan nyo ng fame? bakit napunta si lee hyori dito? o.O

    awat na po!:D
di nyo ba alam kung pano yung writing strategy niya?!:D
i actually finf the author a very good writer..kasi gusto nya talaga ng attention!
at wala syang pakialam kung bad or good publicity or feedback yun!
publicity either good or bad is still a publicity!:D

Si amber, hindi nagpapakakorean, FIL-AM nga eh. and no, she’s really HALF-PINAY HALF-AMERICAN (mom niya PINAY, dad niya AMERICAN) and THEN she married an AMERICAN. Suportahan po natin si amber! She’ll show us what PPOP is all about, way different from POP girls and XLR8 who is more comparable to KPOP artists.. LET’S GO AMBER!🙂

“She’ll show us what PPOP is all about, way different from POP girls and XLR8 who is more comparable to KPOP artists.. LET’S GO AMBER! :)”

Marcus Davis and Amber Davis composed songs for XLR8

BTW, the composer of You’re So Hot(the Sorry Sorry sound-a-like) is Marcus Davis, Amber’s husband. And Amber wrote the Tagalog parts in the song

She and her husband also wrote True Love by Pop Girls

Before bashing these two pop groups, research first, okay?

    Why not?

Our problem isn’t with the lyrics. Most of it has to do with their clothes and their inability to dance.

She really is a talent to be reckoned. Her talent is international and she is someone who will not disappoint the fans when it comes to performance.

  22. meeyamia says:

After reading all your comments. I would only like to say that I don’t like her song “Heartbreaker” *lol* I don’t thing her vocals are RnB-ish enough, it doesn’t fit the image she’s going for. I think she fits more in the “Star ng Pasko” kind of genre (which she sang).

  23. Anonymous says:

heartbreaker is not an rnb song…she didn’t sing star ng pasko, she composed it…

  24. meeyamia says:

If you listen her album the sound she’s going for the pop/RnB/dance genre. I still think it doesn’t fit her voice. My bad if she didn’t sing “Star ng Pasko” It’s what I heard. Any way, i’m still on the fence about this girl.

Oh, you missed the news. Most people are complaining how YSH sounds like Sorry Sorry — a song that undeniable resembles Sorry Sorry.

Though I do not deny that they need improvement in the dance department
